Medical Assistant Float - Central Houston (Job Overview)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient interviews to gather vital medical information
- Measure and document vital signs, weight, and height
- Record comprehensive medical histories and vital statistics
- Collect laboratory specimens efficiently
- Assist physicians in patient examinations and treatments
- Maintain and prepare treatment rooms with futuristic precision
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of all instruments
- Provide phone consultations on test results and health concerns
- Perform phlebotomy with an emphasis on accuracy and care
- Administer a variety of medications via diverse methods
- Ensure meticulous documentation of patient care processes
- Ensure exam rooms are optimally stocked with necessary supplies
- Participate actively in safety programs and performance improvement initiatives
- Foster effective working relations within a multidisciplinary team
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- BLS/CPR Certification required
- 1 year of experience required, up to 3 years desirable
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in healthcare support and clerical functionalities
- Ability to excel under pressure and within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to preventive health and team-centric care delivery
- Experience with computers and Microsoft Office applications
- Bilingual abilities in English/Spanish preferred
- Phlebotomy skills are a plus
- Experience with electronic medical records is advantageous
