Ultrasound Technologist - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-4:30PM)

Join our dynamic team at Legacy Community Health as an Ultrasound Technologist, where innovation meets healthcare excellence. As an OB Ultrasound Tech, you'll pioneer the use of cutting-edge ultrasound technology to generate echo-mapped visualizations of internal organs, collaborating with OB providers to determine gestational age and developmental milestones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret captured ultrasound images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Ensure image clarity and make necessary equipment adjustments.
  • Guide patients through the ultrasound process ensuring comfort and understanding.
  • Maintain expertise in human anatomy and related scanning techniques.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists to optimize scan protocols.
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment.
  • Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Uphold Legacy's mission and cultural diversity objectives in all interactions.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and safety training.
  • Implement safety measures and handle equipment according to protocol.
  • Commit to privacy and security standards as per HIPAA guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • BLS/CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Completion of an accredited sonography program meeting ARDMS eligibility.
  • ARDMS certification in good standing, with ongoing education compliance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric/fetal ultrasound.
  • Proficient in collaborative team environments.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
