Ultrasound Technologist - Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret ultrasound images to assist in diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure clarity of images and adjust equipment as necessary.
- Guide patients through the ultrasound process, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Maintain a deep understanding of human anatomy and scanning techniques.
- Collaborate with radiologists to enhance scan protocols.
- Perform regular maintenance and ensure cleanliness of ultrasound equipment.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Uphold Legacy's mission and cultural diversity in all interactions.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and safety training.
- Implement safety measures and handle equipment according to protocol.
- Adhere to privacy and security standards in line with HIPAA guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
- Mandatory BLS/CPR certification.
- Completion of an accredited sonography program meeting ARDMS eligibility.
- ARDMS certification in good standing with ongoing education compliance.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetric/fetal ultrasound.
- Proficiency in collaborative team environments.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
