OB/GYN Physician - Part Time (Job Overview)

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather comprehensive medical histories and physical data from patients, ensuring a holistic approach to care.
  • Interpret and integrate data to determine the best diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, tailored to each patient.
  • Conduct thorough physical exams and record findings with precision and care.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare providers to manage both acute and long-term medical needs, fostering a team-based approach.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic plans with a strong focus on prevention, educating patients along the way.
  • Provide patient education and counseling on health and illness prevention, empowering them with knowledge.
  • Administer medications, injections, and perform minor surgical procedures like suturing with skill and compassion.
  • Recommend community resources to support patient and family needs, enhancing overall care.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  • Manage medical and surgical emergencies with confidence, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and maintain professional affiliations to stay current.
  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines, protecting patient information with the utmost integrity.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Doctorate with current licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.
  • Previous experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting.
  • Minimum of three years experience preferred.
  • Expertise in high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive gynecological procedures is preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
