Your role is pivotal, as you deftly manage initial patient interactions both in-person and over the phone, embodying our commitment to excellent service and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls with precision, ensuring appropriate routing and support for every inquiry.
- Efficiently perform client intake, updating relevant staff on arrivals and integrating patient data into our advanced database systems.
- Partner with the volunteer coordinator to seamlessly manage volunteer involvement, enhancing our collaborative care environment.
- Implement strict adherence to appointment and cash handling procedures, guaranteeing accuracy and integrity.
- Contribute to maintaining an organized clinic lobby, offering a welcoming environment for all visitors.
- Process lab results under guidance from the Practice Manager, ensuring timely and accurate patient care.
- Actively participate in the Performance Improvement Program, driving forward our mission of excellence and innovation in healthcare.
- Uphold a respectful, dignified atmosphere for all, fostering excellent working relations and team efficiency.
- Engage in our primary care medical home model, promoting culturally sensitive and language-appropriate patient care.
- Attend essential safety training, reinforcing Legacy’s commitment to a secure, protected healthcare environment.
- Operate equipment safely, maintaining standards set by Legacy, and ensuring safety measures are in place at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is a must.
- Exude a pleasant, professional demeanor, especially over the phone, enhancing patient interactions with clarity and warmth.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple calls or patient interactions concurrently, showcasing agility and efficiency.
- Advanced data-entry skills backed by strong computer literacy and multi-line phone or switchboard expertise.
- Possess basic knowledge such as mathematics for appointments and numerical filing systems.
- Bilingual capability, reflecting our diverse community needs, is highly valued.
