Pharmacy Inventory Technician - Job Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30AM-5:30PM)

As a Pharmacy Inventory Technician at Legacy Community Health, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our community by managing medication and non-medication inventories efficiently.
In this position, you'll have the chance to:
- Support the Inventory Manager in coordinating procurement activities.
- Engage closely with various pharmacy locations for seamless delivery of items.
- Contribute to the effectiveness of our special health programs through precise inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a liaison to each pharmacy location, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of items.
- Review and assist in necessary product changes in the pharmacy system for precise charging/dispensing.
- Follow up on back-orders, drug recalls, and any identified issues according to policy.
- Support the annual physical inventory of all pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances.
- Perform routine audits to maintain appropriate stock levels and suggest changes to par levels.
- Assist in the removal and proper disposal of expired medications.
- Manage new medication additions, including stock location assignments and label printing.
- Assist in receiving medications for patient assistance programs and the Texas HIV Medication Program.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the pharmacy’s operations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED and one year of related experience
- Must have a current Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certificate
- Must be registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
- Must maintain BLS /CPR
- Minimum 5 years pharmacy experience
- Minimum 5 years pharmacy inventory management preferred
- Demonstrates clear written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates analytical skills
- Demonstrates understanding of 340b pricing program practices
- Experience working with computer hardware and software applications, highly preferred
