Pharmacist Per Diem - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30AM-8PM) and Saturday (7:30AM-5:30PM) | Must Be Available 4 Days Per Month | Minimum of 1 Shift Every Two Weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Playing detective by interpreting, clarifying, and transcribing medication orders with precision.
  • Ensuring medication is as perfect as a puzzle piece — considering diagnosis, weight, and beyond!
  • Stay sharp! Maintain compliance with all the rulebooks in pharmacy practice.
  • Profile reviews? You’re the maestro of drug selection and dosage!
  • Conduct reviews to keep drug interactions and duplications at bay.
  • Document those unexpected drug reactions with flair!
  • Dispense those meds and keep those inventory records in tip-top shape!
  • Stay informed and promote evidence-based medicine!
  • Be the health guru! Advise patients on health and illness prevention.
  • Educate patients and healthcare providers with your wealth of drug information!

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited pharmacy school (Pharm. D or B.S. with epic experience)!
  • Certification in immunization delivery and more (or on your way there)!
  • Valid Texas Board Pharmacy License — your ticket to pharmacy magic!
  • Texas Pharmacist Preceptor license in your toolkit!
  • Keep that First Aid/CPR certification in your arsenal!
  • Active in Medicare, Medicaid, and beyond!
  • 2+ years of healthcare experience; post-grad pharmacy residency is a bonus!
  • Community pharmacy experience? 1+ years preferred!
  • Medication adherence counseling experience? 1+ years preferred!
  • Experience in HIV/AIDs, Geriatrics, and/or Pediatrics? Preferred!
