Behavioral Health Rep Bilingual - School Clinic (Job Overview)

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (7AM-4:15PM) | Friday (7AM-3PM)

As a Bilingual Behavioral Health Representative I, you will be an essential part of our team, providing crucial support to our on-site Behavioral Health providers. Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange language line interpretation services as needed
  • Sort and dispense mail and faxes efficiently
  • Assist new patients with the registration process to ensure a smooth experience
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR) and continuity of care lists
  • Optimize provider schedules to enhance patient access
  • Oversee the waitlist for Behavioral Health Services
  • Process and follow up on internal service orders for Behavioral Health
  • Obtain vital signs and enter information into EHRS
  • Screen new patients and complete risk assessments
  • Translate for monolingual providers when necessary
  • Attend mandatory all-staff meetings to stay informed
  • Complete reminder calls to all unconfirmed patients
  • Process psychological testing prior authorizations
  • Answer phones and retrieve voicemail messages promptly
  • Provide data entry and administrative support for Behavioral Health
  • Complete prior authorizations for medications efficiently
  • Assist with triaging behavioral health emergencies
  • Handle blood draws, injections, EKGs, and drug screens
  • Process lab service orders in EMR
  • Cross cover remotely and travel for coverage as needed
  • Promote effective working relations and teamwork
  • Attend required safety training programs
  • Operate assigned equipment safely and maintain work area standards
  • Demonstrate proper body mechanics in all functions
  • Follow Legacy's exposure control plans and report safety concerns promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team

Minimum Qualifications

  • BLS (CPR & AED) Certified required
  • Three to six months of related experience preferred
  • One year certificate from college or technical school preferred
  • Familiarity with BH preferred
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Good direct and telephone communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team setting
  • Leadership ability for program management, growth, and development
  • Communication/interpersonal skills to interact courteously and professionally
  • Knowledge of and ability to interact effectively with community agencies
  • Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
  • Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
  • Bilingual English and Spanish speaking preferred
