Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures including routing, switching, firewall, and wireless systems.
  • Develop and manage WAN connectivity through SD-WAN and MPLS.
  • Configure and manage voice gateways to support unified communications across the network.
  • Evaluate and optimize network performance to ensure stability and uptime.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts, providing advanced technical support for network-related issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with enterprise systems.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects ensuring adherence to schedules.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues affecting business operations and end-user experience.
  • Research new technologies, recommending or implementing innovative solutions.
  • Maintain and establish technical documentation and troubleshooting information.
  • Mentor other network engineers, fostering a learning environment.
  • Engage in customer-facing roles, orienting solutions engineering towards achieving customer goals.
  • Participate in various projects and committees as assigned.
  • Be available for assigned on-call duties during nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Mandatory CCNP certification; CCIE is strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in network engineering.
  • Advanced experience with Cisco FirePower, Cisco Catalyst, and Cisco Meraki.
  • Experience with SDWAN and MPLS connectivity solutions.
  • Proficiency in unified communications solutions including CUBE routers, voice gateways, and SIP.
  • Cloud networking connectivity experience, specifically Azure ExpressRoute.
  • Expertise in advanced switching and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, STP).
  • Experience with wireless standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and spectrum analysis tools (Ekahau).
  • Advanced skills in firewall configuration and management.
  • Expertise with VPN technologies including SSL VPN and Site-to-Site VPN.
  • Implement high availability and redundancy using protocols like HSRP, VRRP, GLBP.
  • Skills in capacity planning and scalability assessment.
  • Experience with packet analysis and NetFlow analyzer tools (Wireshark, ManageEngine NetFlow Analyzer).
  • Knowledge of IDS/IPS and traffic analysis.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (DNS, DHCP, ICMP, SNMP, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Clear technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and coordinate across teams effectively.
  • Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a dedication to solving client issues.
  • Willingness to work off-hours to accommodate maintenance windows or emergencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
