Patient Assistance Representative - Job Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Occasional Saturday

As a Patient Assistance Representative with Legacy Community Health, you'll become a vital member of our team, supporting clients through the Ryan White Grant programs. Your role will empower individuals by helping them access essential medications and medical coverage.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand and support various programs under the Ryan White Grant, focusing on medication and health insurance assistance.
- Meet with eligible clients to gather necessary documentation for program enrollment.
- Maintain a current and accurate list of program enrollees and ensure timely communication with clients.
- Process applications or payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Document patient care activities comprehensively in electronic records such as Centricity, Pioneer, and ARIES.
- Ensure grant standards are met through timely validation of required data points.
- Perform reviews and audits to support accurate reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with peers and colleagues to provide optimal care to patients.
- Engage in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Training: High school diploma required.
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum (1) year of healthcare experience OR Minimum (3) years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease and medications to treat HIV and associated illness desired.
- Insurance and/or COBRA knowledge.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities: Bilingual-Spanish preferred.
