Key Responsibilities
- Conduct eligibility checks with meticulous attention to detail, adhering to each program's specific guidelines.
- Ensure clients do not have other payer sources like Medicaid, Medicare, or third-party insurance.
- Register clients into the CPCDMS and complete all necessary paperwork efficiently.
- Perform data entry of eligible clients into our electronic system with precision.
- Maintain up-to-date and orderly eligibility files.
- Conduct renewal eligibility with expert timing and accuracy.
- Confirm eligibility appointments with clients, ensuring communication is clear and supportive.
- Set initial service appointments once eligibility has been determined.
- Provide clients with a list of required eligibility documentation.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement Program to enhance our standards collectively.
- Promote effective working relations and be a supportive team player.
- Attend required safety training and education programs.
- Operate equipment and perform procedures safely, prioritizing safety at all times.
- Maintain the work area and equipment according to Legacy standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required, providing foundational knowledge.
- Some medical knowledge is essential for effective role execution.
- 3-5 years of medical billing experience preferred, demonstrating expertise in the field.
- Training or background in ICD-A / CPT codes preferred, facilitating accurate healthcare communication.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping and accounting terminology required, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Competency in operating computers and office machinery is essential.
- Ability to manage responsibilities under pressure, maintaining composure and efficiency.
- Bilingual capabilities preferred, enhancing communication with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices preferred, supporting effective role performance.
