Regional Nurse Manager - Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and organizational policies to maintain high standards of patient care.
  • Oversee clinical departments to minimize incidents and complaints, ensuring smooth operations and positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to address clinical concerns, including inquiries about Scope of Practice and Nurse Practice Act.
  • Lead hiring, coaching, counseling, and performance reviews in partnership with Site Directors.
  • Conduct routine chart reviews to ensure accurate documentation and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Review and resolve patient complaints in a timely and compassionate manner.
  • Develop and implement orientation schedules for new Medical Assistants, monitoring their progress.
  • Organize and deliver monthly training sessions and validate educational content for clinical staff.
  • Participate in provider meetings to enhance communication and team collaboration.
  • Perform audits on patient care practices, sterilization processes, and inventory management to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Write and update policies, procedures, and protocols for clinical areas as needed.
  • Manage infection control processes, including TB test placement and reading.
  • Foster professional relationships and maintain respectful communication within the team.
  • Promote service excellence and guide both licensed and non-licensed personnel in providing high-quality care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Unrestricted Texas RN license or valid compact state licensure.
  • BLS (CPR & AED) Certified.
  • State of Texas Registered Nursing License
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a licensed, registered nurse, preferable in supervision
  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Strong leadership, customer service, and spoken/written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate self-confidence and positive attitude toward self and other achievement.
  • Excellent team player and communication skills required.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
  • Adept in decision making responsibilities
  • Bilingual (Spanish)
