Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and quality of retail pharmacy services.
- Analyze staffing needs and ensure the team has the right expertise and resources.
- Design and refine workflows to promote timely and effective patient care.
- Oversee quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives to maintain excellence.
- Leverage data and reporting tools to drive informed decision-making.
- Identify areas for growth or improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Utilize technology and safety automation tools, including barcoding systems, to enhance service delivery.
- Manage pharmacy inventory to optimize expenses and revenue.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve therapeutic outcomes and ensure cost-effective care.
- Ensure compliance with audits, including controlled substances and 340b program requirements.
- Oversee financial operations, including contracting, coding, billing, and pricing updates.
- Develop training and educational programs to enhance staff competencies.
- Create initiatives to boost patient engagement and improve healthcare outcomes.
- Facilitate clear communication among pharmacists, patients, and providers for seamless care coordination.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards through effective policy development and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy.
- Active Texas Board of Pharmacy License.
- Must maintain BLS/CPR certification.
- 5-10 years of pharmacy experience with demonstrated success OR completed ASHP PGY1/2 Clinical or Administrative Hospital Pharmacy Residency.
- Desirable: Master’s degree in Public Health or Healthcare/Business Management.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal medical service laws.
- Administrative, management, or supervisory experience.
- Exceptional leadership, mediation abilities, and multitasking skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Basic knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles.
- Proficient in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
