Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient interviews to gather vital medical information and record vital signs, weight, and height.
- Accurately log patient medical history and test results into electronic medical records systems.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens while ensuring compliance with cutting-edge lab technologies.
- Assist providers with patient examinations by expertly handling instruments and materials, administering injections, and removing sutures.
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms with state-of-the-art sterilization and restocking practices.
- Engage in telehealth consultations with clients concerning test results and health inquiries.
- Perform diagnostic testing, including phlebotomy, with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Administer medications, capturing data-driven insights to enhance patient care.
- Ensure all clinical documentation is meticulously maintained for patient care quality assurance.
- Maintain exam room supply inventories, paying close attention to expiration dates and waste disposal compliance.
- Participate in programs like Hazard Communication and OSHA compliance initiatives.
- Contribute to the Performance Improvement Program with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Foster an environment of respect and collaboration with all health team members.
- Participate in safety training and uphold the highest safety standards within the workplace.
- Maintain work area and equipment according to Legacy's and regulatory policies.
- Implement safety measures to ensure a secure patient environment.
- Adhere to exposure control plans, demonstrating expertise in infection control techniques.
- Engage in continuous professional development through annual training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must maintain BLS/CPR certifications to ensure preparedness in emergencies.
- Up to five years of experience in a medical or healthcare support role is ideal.
- Proficiency in basic front desk and clerical functions within a digital health environment.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and multitask within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Commitment to preventive health care and a collaborative team approach in healthcare delivery.
- Proficient in computer use, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication in diverse settings.
- Phlebotomy skills are an asset, underscoring your technical expertise.
