Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough health assessments to understand both immediate and long-term patient needs.
- Perform physical examinations and document comprehensive health histories.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests to deliver accurate and timely diagnoses.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients on managing chronic conditions, acute care, and preventive health strategies.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
- Supervise and mentor Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork.
- Promote patient safety through adherence to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Participate actively in training, professional development, and organizational improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Legacy’s standards and perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO: Medical Doctor with current licensure
- MD/DO: Board certification (or Board eligible) required
- APP: Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school or graduation from an accredited program as Physician Assistant and current Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state reimbursement programs.
- Ability to meet Legacy Community Health's EPIC proficiency requirements.
- Previous experience in a community healthcare setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated competency with an Electronic Health Record System (EHRS).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, typing, and computer skills.
- Capability to manage confidential and sensitive information securely.
- Aptitude for handling multiple deadlines and making decisions under pressure.
