Join us at our Houston location and be a part of something truly special. Your role as a Patient Access Specialist I is vital in supporting our mission to provide comprehensive health services to those who need them most.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage inbound and outbound calls with empathy and professionalism in a call-center environment.
  • Schedule patient appointments following established protocols and ensure accuracy.
  • Document calls meticulously, providing essential information and data to clinical staff.
  • Complete data entry tasks, including patient demographics and payer information.
  • Communicate effectively using proper language, grammar, and style.
  • Multitask efficiently, responding to emails and non-phone inquiries.
  • Interpret subtle verbal cues and de-escalate situations when necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-2 years customer service experience highly preferred.
  • Clinical office support experience highly preferred.
  • Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice.
  • Ability to handle multiple incoming callers, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written grammar skills.
  • Accurate keyboard typing, data-entry, and mouse navigation skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Windows and Online/Electronic forms.
  • Patient scheduling experience.
  • Knowledge of medical or insurance terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
