Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:30AM-8PM) | Saturday (7:30AM-5PM)

As a Pharmacist Intern with Legacy Community Health, you'll become an integral part of our family, working under the guidance of experienced pharmacists to deliver safe, patient-focused care across our pharmacies and community sites.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient counseling and medication education under pharmacist supervision.
- Support medication therapy optimization activities, including drug utilization review and clinical screening.
- Assist with adherence programs such as medication synchronization and refill alignment.
- Engage in point-of-care and community-based health services, including screenings and smoking cessation support.
- Administer immunizations and support related workflows according to state law and Legacy protocols.
- Promote prevention services and health equity initiatives at clinics and community events.
- Participate in the end-to-end dispensing workflow, including intake, data entry, and prescription preparation.
- Resolve third-party rejections and coverage issues, escalating as needed.
- Support controlled substance stewardship and compliance practices.
- Assist with inventory management to reduce therapy disruptions.
- Complete an annual quality initiative or research project aligned with Legacy priorities.
- Contribute to pharmacy leadership with audits, trackers, and workflow optimization.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and represent pharmacy professionally in meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrolled in a PharmD program or PharmD graduate eligible to obtain/maintain intern status per state requirements; or Non-US accredited foreign pharmacy graduate who meets eligibility requirements to complete U.S. internship hours (e.g., FPGEE/TOEFL/FPGEC-related eligibility as applicable) per state requirements.
- Valid pharmacist intern license from the Board of Pharmacy of the State of Texas.
- Current/active BLS/CPR.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills Windows, Excel, and accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
