Occupational Health Nurse Opportunity at Legacy Community Health

Your role is pivotal in cultivating a safe, compliant, and health-focused work environment through dynamic leadership in infection control protocols and employee health programs. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cutting-edge clinical and operational procedures related to Occupational Health and Infection Control.
  • Coordinate comprehensive employee health programs to ensure robust medical compliance.
  • Support pre-employment and onboarding medical assessments to integrate new team members seamlessly.
  • Champion Health Promotion programs aimed at enhancing overall employee wellness.
  • Oversee preventive screenings and surveillance programs, addressing risks to employee health through innovative solutions.
  • Ensure meticulous OSHA recordkeeping in clinical operations.
  • Maintain a HIPAA-compliant database of confidential employee health records, securing sensitive information effectively.
  • Administer and document immunizations and TB skin tests, adhering to high nursing standards.
  • Advise clinical sites on communicable disease exposure and coordinate with regulatory agencies for follow-ups.
  • Lead the development of a Respiratory Protection Program, including performing N95 Fit Testing.
  • Identify and refer employees with personal health needs to appropriate internal resources or providers.
  • Engage in required meetings, committees, and professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay at the cutting edge of healthcare innovation.
  • Uphold Legacy's policies, objectives, and ethical standards, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture.
  • Perform other dynamic duties that support Legacy's mission and community impact.

Qualifications for Success

  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing.
  • Valid state license to practice nursing, supported by current CPR certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of compelling, relevant nursing experience.
  • Prior experience in an employee health clinic, demonstrating an innovative approach to healthcare delivery.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
