Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and provide psychiatric treatment across assigned clinics.
- Maintain a regular schedule in accordance with the Service Agreement, actively engaging with patients.
- Achieve productivity benchmarks as defined by leadership in Behavioral Health.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols.
- Offer availability by phone during and outside clinic hours as needed.
- Assist in creating and reviewing patient educational materials.
- Supervise healthcare students for educational purposes.
- Develop and execute a robust program for clinical quality assurance.
- Participate in care coordination with various non-physician providers.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals through consultations and meetings.
- Engage in the Performance Improvement Program and peer reviews.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Medical Doctor, Board-certified or Board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Current Texas medical license required.
- Adherence to professional Code of Ethics.
- Completion of ongoing continuing education for license maintenance.
- Good standing with professional licensing board.
- Credentialing and privileges must align with Legacy's standards.
- Participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant health benefit programs.
- Cultural competency and sensitivity towards all served populations.
- Effective communication skills with staff, community, and the public.
- Ability to perform key duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Capable of remaining composed under stressful conditions.
- Competence in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
