Your role is central to improving the mental health and quality of life for our clients, through innovative treatment and compassionate care at our new Pasadena Clinic (1951 Southmore Avenue, Pasadena, TX 77502)!

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and provide psychiatric treatment across assigned clinics.
  • Maintain a regular schedule in accordance with the Service Agreement, actively engaging with patients.
  • Achieve productivity benchmarks as defined by leadership in Behavioral Health.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols.
  • Offer availability by phone during and outside clinic hours as needed.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing patient educational materials.
  • Supervise healthcare students for educational purposes.
  • Develop and execute a robust program for clinical quality assurance.
  • Participate in care coordination with various non-physician providers.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals through consultations and meetings.
  • Engage in the Performance Improvement Program and peer reviews.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Doctor, Board-certified or Board-eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Current Texas medical license required.
  • Adherence to professional Code of Ethics.
  • Completion of ongoing continuing education for license maintenance.
  • Good standing with professional licensing board.
  • Credentialing and privileges must align with Legacy's standards.
  • Participation in Medicare, Medicaid, and other relevant health benefit programs.
  • Cultural competency and sensitivity towards all served populations.
  • Effective communication skills with staff, community, and the public.
  • Ability to perform key duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Capable of remaining composed under stressful conditions.
  • Competence in prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
