Treatment Coordinator - Dental (Job Overview)

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive dental treatment plans with detailed procedures and cost breakdowns, ensuring clarity for our patients.
- Engage with patients to ensure they understand and agree with recommended treatment plans, providing the support they need.
- Explain financial estimates and sources of costs to patients with clarity and compassion, making them feel comfortable and informed.
- Schedule and confirm dental appointments, maintaining an organized daily schedule to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Update and manage the Recall list for patients needing follow-up beyond 120 days, ensuring no patient is left behind.
- Verify and document payor sources, insurance, and benefit information for each visit, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Handle incoming calls and return voicemails promptly, ensuring patient queries are addressed with care.
- Navigate and document within EHR systems like Centricity and VisDental efficiently, supporting seamless patient care.
- Update patient registration information, including demographics and signatures, maintaining accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with patients about dental concerns, collaborating with managers to find solutions that work.
- Submit and obtain pre-authorizations from insurances in a timely manner, ensuring no delays in patient care.
- Run inquiries on Dental Internal Service Orders and contact patients as needed, maintaining proactive communication.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the team's success and patient satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Knowledge of Computer, Calculator, Word process program.
- Knowledge of dental insurance.
- Knowledge of dental terminology.
- Strong communications skills.
- Adhere to confidentiality, State, Federal and HIPAA laws and guidelines with regards to patient records.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and decision making responsibilities.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.
