Bilingual Front Office Clerk - Float (Central Region) - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Your role is essential in crafting lasting impressions, extending beyond answering calls and managing appointments. You will be the heartbeat that keeps our front office vibrant and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and route incoming calls with warmth and professionalism.
  • Perform client intake and notify the appropriate staff of arrivals.
  • Enter patient information accurately into databases.
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and management.
  • Follow appointment and cash handling procedures diligently.
  • Maintain a tidy and welcoming clinic lobby.
  • Process lab results as directed by the Practice Manager.
  • Participate actively in the Performance Improvement Program.
  • Promote effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Apply a team-based approach within a primary care medical home context.
  • Attend required safety and annual education programs.
  • Operate equipment and maintain work areas per Legacy standards.
  • Follow exposure control plans and demonstrate proper body mechanics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • Pleasant, professional, and articulate phone voice.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle many incoming calls or patients at once.
  • Efficient and accurate data-entry skills.
  • Computer literacy and multi-line phone or switchboard experience required.
  • Must be able to learn quickly if no experience.
  • Basic math, alphabetical or numerical filing knowledge may be required.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
