Bilingual Supervisor - Financial Services (Job Overview)

Bring your leadership, compassion, and passion for accessible healthcare to the Bilingual Supervisor - Financial Services role. You will help guide the daily operations of Financial Services while supporting clients who depend on vital medication, insurance, and emergency assistance programs funded through the Ryan White Grant.
In this meaningful role, you will oversee services including the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), Local Pharmacy Assistance Program (LPAP), Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA), Health Insurance Assistance, and manufacturer-supported Patient Assistance Programs (PAP). Your leadership will help clients access medications and medical coverage, making a direct difference in their ability to receive ongoing care.

Key Responsibilities
- Understand and manage various programs under the Ryan White Grant to support patients with medications and health insurance assistance.
- Serve as a Patient Assistance Representative for ADAP, LPAP, and EFA.
- Serve as an Insurance Assistance Representative for health insurance premium and cost sharing assistance, including co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles, and Medicare Part D premiums.
- Provide oversight to the daily operations of the Financial Services area.
- Monitor workflows and make recommendations that support efficiency and timeliness in patient care.
- Prepare schedules for the area of responsibility, maintain appropriate staffing, and assess staffing levels.
- Approve time sheets and employee PTO requests.
- Support training and development activities for employees.
- Ensure new staff receive appropriate orientation outlined by the organization and department.
- Conduct appropriate investigations and follow up on individual and patient complaints.
- Serve as a liaison between providers, clients, clinical staff, and ancillary departments to promote high patient and team member satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments and maintain positive working relationships across the organization.
- Participate in decision-making processes for hiring new employees.
- Participate in the Performance Improvement Program.
- Participate in internal, quarterly, and yearly audits.
- Conduct bi-weekly employee staff meetings.
- Participate in annual Employee Performance Evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements.
- Complete special projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
Required Years of Experience
- Minimum (3) years of customer services experience
Desirable Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Knowledge of healthcare terms, HIV disease and medications to treat HIV and associated illness desired
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrates knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
- Administrative, management, or supervisory experience.
- Exceptional leadership, mediation abilities, and multi-tasking skills required.
- Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
