Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and provide tailored psychiatric treatment to clinic clients.
- Maintain regular, agreed-upon clinic hours and actively engage with patients.
- Meet productivity standards as defined by leadership in Behavioral Health and Medical Operations.
- Develop, implement, and refine clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols.
- Provide phone support during clinic hours and be available as scheduled outside of these times.
- Contribute to the review and enhancement of patient educational materials.
- Supervise health care students and non-physician providers involved in psychiatric treatment and education.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure clinical excellence.
- Conduct patient interviews, offering advice on health, illness prevention, and family planning services.
- Engage in Performance Improvement Programs and attend all necessary meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overarching goals of Legacy Community Health.
Minimum Qualifications
- Medical Doctor, Board-certified or Board-eligible in Psychiatry, holding a current Texas License.
- Committed to the ethical standards of the relevant professional licensing body.
- Fulfill continuing education requirements to maintain professional licensure.
- Maintain excellent standing with the professional licensing board.
- Participate in various healthcare payment programs as required by Legacy.
- Exhibit cultural competency and sensitivity to all served populations.
- Communicate effectively with staff, community, and the public.
- Operate efficiently under stress and manage multiple priorities seamlessly.
