Vice President - Pharmacy Services (Job Overview)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to develop integrated services, programs, and education for enhanced patient care.
  • Design and manage workflows to ensure efficient, respectful, and responsive care tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Establish activities and data collection for performance improvement and impactful change.
  • Develop collaborations with external partners to drive meaningful change.
  • Oversee internal activities to drive change through education and collaborative practice agreements.
  • Develop processes and protocols for care coordination through pharmacy services.
  • Support LCH participation as a RW/HRSA grantee and other relevant grants.
  • Ensure medication adherence and patient satisfaction through effective processes.
  • Facilitate optimization of information systems and technology for improved patient care.
  • Coordinate with population health and quality teams to optimize care.
  • Ensure onboarding, continued education, and competency validation for staff.
  • Establish communication processes for timely project management updates.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Collect data to measure deliverables and support continuous improvement.
  • Develop and ensure policies and procedures are in place.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Active Pharmacist License with Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Active Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD. 
  • Advanced Degree Preferred, MBA/MHA/MPH.
  • 5 years of more experience in Pharmacy Leadership. 
  • 10 years of more experience as a licensed pharmacist. 
  • 7-10 years in a healthcare setting with established record for implementing appropriate programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial and quality management.
  • 8-10 years experience with leading and coaching staff.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and State/Federal laws governing medical services.
  • Administrative, management, or supervisory experience.
  • Exceptional leadership, mediation abilities, and multi-tasking skills required.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and excellence in healthcare.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics and graphical representation principles.
  • Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management system software.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
