Key Responsibilities
- Administer comprehensive and routine pediatric care within the School-Based program, including performing medical procedures and administering drug treatments.
- Consult and coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure compliance with policies and protocols.
- Document all client care promptly and accurately in electronic medical records.
- Engage in telephonic consultations for triaging, advising, and appropriate client referrals.
- Participate in on-call duties and refer complex cases to physicians as necessary.
- Assist in educating patients on preventive health measures and healthcare plans.
- Contribute to Performance Improvement Programs and participate in relevant committees.
- Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current licensure with the Texas Physician Assistant Board or Texas Board of Nursing.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- A minimum of one year of medical experience in a physician's office or equivalent setting.
- Proficiency in the use of electronic medical records.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with enthusiasm and motivation.
- Strong capability in managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks.
- Experience in a school-based clinic environment is highly desirable.
- Bilingual in Spanish is considered an asset.
