Donor Services Manager - Job Overview
Schedule: 9AM-5PM

Key Responsibilities
- Gift Processing & Financial Administration:
- Process all charitable gifts accurately and timely (cash, checks, credit cards, stock gifts, etc.).
- Review gift documentation to code gifts properly according to donor intent and preferences.
- Prepare daily gift batches and deposits in line with organizational policies.
- Assist in financial reconciliation with the Finance Department.
- Monitor pledges and recurring gifts to ensure accurate reporting.
- Support year-end giving activities and complex gift processing.
- Database Management:
- Maintain accurate donor and constituent records, ensuring data integrity.
- Perform routine record clean-up and database maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with departmental standards for records and data.
- Development Operations & Reporting:
- Prepare regular fundraising reports for leadership.
- Support the fundraising pipeline review process.
- Assist in coordinating workplace giving campaigns and events.
- Donor Stewardship:
- Generate and distribute gift acknowledgments and tax receipts.
- Respond promptly to donor inquiries and ensure exceptional stewardship experiences.
- Compliance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with regulations and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
- Recommend improvements to enhance workflow and donor experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in related field is required.
- Two (2) years of experience in gift processing, donor database administration, nonprofit accounting, development operations, or a related field, is required.
- Experience working with donor database software.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit healthcare organization or large nonprofit.
- Previous experience with fundraising systems, ideally Raiser's Edge NXT.
- Previous experience supporting fundraising analytics, dashboard reporting, and/or donor data management within a nonprofit.
- Knowledge of charitable gift processing standards, IRS charitable giving regulations, and nonprofit accounting principles.
- Previous experience with online giving platforms, employer matching gift platforms, and electronic payment processing systems.
- Experience reconciling fundraising systems with accounting records.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management
