Pediatric Medical Assistant - Leading Community Health Initiatives

Located in the vibrant community of Baytown, TX, Legacy Community Health invites dynamic individuals to join our innovative healthcare team as a Pediatric Medical Assistant. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient interviews to gather medical histories and measure vital signs, including height and weight, ensuring accurate medical records maintenance.
  • Skillfully collect, log, and prepare blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing, adhering to our commitment to meticulous healthcare.
  • Support physicians in examining and treating patients by skillfully handling instruments and materials, administering injections, and removing sutures.
  • Maintain impeccable treatment rooms, ensuring each space is prepared, organized, and cleaned to enhance patient care and experience.
  • Expertly clean and sterilize medical instruments, guaranteeing that all equipment meets the highest health and safety standards.
  • Conduct insightful phone consultations with clients, discussing test results and addressing health concerns with clarity and compassion.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Medical Assistant or certificate of Medical Assistant is essential for this role.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to ensure readiness for patient care.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are preferred to enhance communication within our diverse community.
