Bilingual Dental Coordinator - Job Overview
Schedule: 8AM-4:30PM
As a Dental Coordinator, you’ll help make meaningful dental care more accessible for patients and families in the community. Through thoughtful coordination, timely communication, and dependable administrative support, you’ll help patients move smoothly from referral and scheduling to follow-up care.
You’ll be part of a collaborative Dental team, working closely with providers, treatment coordinators, Patient Access Specialists, Site Operations, and the Dental Care Operations Manager. Your work will help keep schedules running efficiently, connect patients with needed services, and create a more welcoming and responsive care experience.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor the Dental EHR desktop and respond to and/or forward flags and documents on the Dental desktops in a timely manner, including routing flags to treatment coordinators and providers as needed.
- Monitor incoming faxes and support Dental Patient Access Specialists with call volume as needed.
- Return voice messages in a timely manner.
- Act as a point of contact for Site Operations, including Front Desk, to support Dental schedule management and patient access.
- Manage Dental provider schedules, including monitoring schedules for reschedule requests, confirming scheduled patients, filling open appointment slots, scheduling new patients, and canceling appointments.
- Manage hygiene recall lists.
- Run a monthly recall list of patients due for hygiene appointments and schedule them for follow-up visits.
- Run daily Inquiries in the EHR for Internal Service Orders for patients referred from other Legacy service lines.
- Contact each patient referred internally for Dental services, schedule or place the patient on a waitlist based on availability, and document all contact attempts and outcomes within the orders.
- Maintain communication with the Dental Care Operations Manager and provide updates on issues, questions, and suggestions for improvement.
- Assist Dental Treatment Coordinators with scanning Treatment Plans.
- Attend and participate in team meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Years of Experience
- 2 years of customer service experience
Desirable Education and/or Experience
- Experience in a dental office and/or scheduling management preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Bilingual Spanish/English required
