Grants Accountant I - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative grant spenddown strategies while advising program counterparts on optimal financial practices
  • Exercise independent judgment to lead detailed grant management functions
  • Utilize data analytics to ensure compliance and eligibility monitoring of grant expenditures
  • Prepare and present grant financial reports leveraging advanced technologies
  • Submit data-driven expense reimbursement reports to a diverse array of funding sources
  • Maintain open channels of communication with grant funding personnel to foster collaboration
  • Review and optimize grant staff allocations to maximize efficiency
  • Support grant accounting personnel with technology-enhanced accounting and clerical tasks
  • Maintain digital accounting records, ensuring precision and confidentiality
  • Assist in the development of innovative approaches to funding-source and external audits
  • Contribute to agile month-end financial close processes, including journal entries and revenue projections
  • Promote digital transformation in department operations and encourage collaborative teamwork
  • Safeguard patient and company information through advanced cybersecurity practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
  • Preferred experience with grants and billing systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, focusing on Excel's advanced functionalities
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in an agile, fast-paced environment
