OB/GYN Physician - Beautiful New Clinic (Early 2026) - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our mission, working closely with the community to enhance maternal health and women's healthcare. Your responsibilities will go beyond traditional medical care, as you'll engage with patients, providing comprehensive care and leveraging both creativity and advanced medical practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document comprehensive medical histories and physical data of patients.
  • Interpret and integrate diagnostic data to determine necessary interventions.
  • Perform thorough physical examinations and document findings efficiently.
  • Collaborate with fellow healthcare providers to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Order and analyze laboratory and diagnostic tests to inform diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
  • Provide patient consultations regarding health and illness prevention, including family planning services.
  • Administer medications, injections, and manage minor surgical procedures, such as suturing.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and health management strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous patient records, ensuring continuity of care through effective information management.
  • Respond to and triage medical inquiries and emergencies seamlessly.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and community-focused initiatives to improve healthcare delivery.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations, safeguarding patient confidentiality with great rigor.
  • Contribute to Legacy's Performance Improvement Program, actively participating in meetings and projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Doctorate with active licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Eligibility to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state reimbursement programs.
  • At least three years of clinical experience, with significant exposure to hospital or clinic settings.
  • Specialized expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and conducting minimally invasive gynecological procedures.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple deadlines, showcasing strong organizational proficiency.
  • Familiarity with ICD9, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards; open to pertinent training.
