X-Ray Technologist - Float (Job Overview)
Schedule: Monday-Friday (10AM-6PM) | Weekends As Needed
Bring your technical expertise and compassionate approach to a role where every image helps move a patient’s care forward. As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform routine diagnostic radiographs ordered by medical providers, including MDs, PAs, and NPs, helping support accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients in the community.
You will draw on your understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology to complete each study with care and precision. You will also help patients feel comfortable and informed while serving as a trusted liaison among patients, radiologists, and the patient care support team.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform general radiology studies at the request of the medical provider.
- Perform routine diagnostic radiographs for patients as ordered by MDs, PAs, and NPs.
- Apply a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology in daily imaging responsibilities.
- Possess, utilize, maintain, and enhance knowledge of radiation safety and protection for yourself, patients, and others.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, radiologists, and other members of the patient care support team.
- Maintain Radiology equipment to optimal standards.
- Notify appropriate clinic staff of any equipment problems.
- Participate in continuing education for licensure requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school diagnostic imaging program.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
- Radiography ARRT- R.T. (R-ARRT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Certification in Basic Life Support / First Aid / CPR
Required Years of Experience
- Experience with general office equipment and Digital Radiography (DR).
Desirable Education and/or Experience
- Two year prior diagnostic imaging preferred but not required.
- Pediatrics and Geriatrics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Produces high quality images: determines technical exposure factors, identifies and removes artifact producing objects, and utilizes shielding devices to protect the patient, self and others.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
- Bilingual skills are preferred but not required
