X-Ray Technologist - Float (Job Overview)

Schedule: Monday-Friday (10AM-6PM) | Weekends As Needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine diagnostic radiographs as requested by medical providers.
  • Ensure optimal functioning of radiology equipment and report any issues.
  • Participate in continuing education to keep your skills sharp and meet licensure requirements.
  • Embrace additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the team's success.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited diagnostic imaging program.
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist General Certification issued by the Texas Medical Board.
  • Radiography ARRT- R.T. (R-ARRT) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support / First Aid / CPR.
  • Experience with general office equipment and Digital Radiography (DR).
  • Two year prior diagnostic imaging preferred but not required.
  • Experience in Pediatrics and Geriatrics preferred.
  • Produces high quality images: determines technical exposure factors, identifies and removes artifact producing objects, and utilizes shielding devices to protect the patient, self, and others.
