Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls with a professional and articulate demeanor, routing them appropriately to enhance communication flow.
  • Lead the client intake process, efficiently notifying relevant staff of client arrivals to streamline clinic operations.
  • Accurately enter patient information into our databases, ensuring seamless information management and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with the volunteer coordinator to manage volunteers, bolstering community engagement and support.
  • Follow appointment and cash handling procedures meticulously, maintaining accuracy and transparency in client payment processing.
  • Manage the clinic lobby's appearance, ensuring a welcoming and orderly environment for all visitors.
  • Assist in processing lab results as directed by the Practice Manager, contributing to timely patient care delivery.
  • Engage with the Performance Improvement Program, continually advancing personal and organizational performance.
  • Foster a respectful and courteous environment that reflects our professional standards and patient-centric approach.
  • Utilize a team-based approach within the primary care medical home model, enhancing care quality and continuity.
  • Participate in required safety training and education programs, implementing safety and protective measures diligently.
  • Operate equipment safely and maintain the work area according to Legacy standards, contributing to a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school graduate or equivalent is required, with a foundational emphasis on educational attainment.
  • Pleasant, professional phone voice with the ability to articulate effectively and create positive first impressions.
  • Proficient in multi-tasking and prioritization, especially under high call volumes or patient interactions.
  • Skilled in data entry with a focus on efficiency and precision to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Computer literacy, including experience with multi-line phones or switchboards, or a keen ability to learn.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, enhancing communication with our diverse patient community.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency in filing systems, crucial for organizational tasks.
  • Capacity for managing multiple deadlines and decision-making responsibilities, particularly for managerial candidates.
