Medication Adherence and Access Technician - Job Overview

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the go-to liaison between Legacy clients and providers/pharmacies, ensuring smooth communication.
  • Quickly address and respond to all incoming prescription renewal requests within 48 hours.
  • Recognize prescription requests that fall outside guidelines and seek necessary assistance.
  • Understand the provider's plan for appropriate patient follow-up and ensure its execution.
  • Facilitate patients' access to prescriptions by scheduling appointments and providing timely refills.
  • Document medication non-adherence in EMR for patients with frequent incidents of RTS for chronic medications.
  • Monitor and respond efficiently to incoming requests for prior authorization.
  • Document the prior authorization process diligently and update the status regularly.
  • Stay informed about Pharma's Patient Assistance Programs to support patients.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for all related work in Legacy's EMR and Pharmacy system.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician, or LVN.
  • Must maintain BLS/CPR.
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a certified pharmacy technician, or LVN.
  • Demonstrates written and verbal communication skills, courteous and clear.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills.
  • Understanding of medication prescriptive process.
  • Computer software knowledge.
  • Proficiency in navigating electronic medical records.
  • Spanish speaking preferred.
