The Clinical Operations Director II at Legacy Community Health is at the forefront of shaping high-performing healthcare practices at our Baker Ripley Clinic (6500 Rookin St #200, Houston, TX 77074). This role is instrumental in steering operational policies and initiatives towards optimal performance of a cluster of clinics defined by geography, specialty, or other criteria. Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Operations and the Vice President of Operations, this position is pivotal in cultivating an environment of innovation and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operations and service delivery of all practice sites within assigned clinics, ensuring optimal performance and operational alignment.
- Engage in the selection process by interviewing and hiring managers and coordinators for clinics.
- Provide direct supervision and ongoing performance feedback, including conducting annual evaluations for managers and relevant support staff.
- Offer counsel on disciplinary matters, coordinating with HR as needed to uphold workplace integrity.
- Facilitate the success of physicians and mid-level providers, supporting them in establishing thriving practices.
- Collaborate with physicians to enhance their practice success.
- Conduct monthly reviews of operational and financial performance to develop and implement Site-Specific Action Plans.
- Lead the implementation of revenue cycle initiatives across practices.
- Regularly review point-of-service collections and accounts receivable with the operations manager to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Guide the annual budget development and hold managers accountable to objectives and expectations.
- Maintain frequent communication with Sr. Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations for operational issue reviews.
- Participate in routine operational leadership meetings, contributing to collaborative problem-solving.
- Coordinate with marketing on developing and executing regional strategies.
- Develop and revise clinical revenue cycle policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Address inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory bodies, and the business community effectively.
- Perform additional duties as required, contributing to the breadth of organizational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is mandatory.
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent leadership experience in managing clinic practice operations required.
- Master's degree in MHA, MBA, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in team-oriented, collaborative environments.
- Exemplary skills in building productive relationships with physicians.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical practice operations.
- Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, financial analysis, and revenue cycle management.
- Proven track record in fiscal management, strategic planning, and human resource management.
- Capable of communicating and establishing effective partnerships with providers.
- Sufficient experience in developing and implementing operational plans for clinical practices.
- Understanding of legal issues pertinent to clinical practice operations.
- Ability to plan projects and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making leadership capabilities.
