Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough medical history reviews and physical exams to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Analyze diagnostic data and determine appropriate therapeutic procedures.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage acute and long-term medical needs.
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop personalized diagnostic and therapeutic plans focused on prevention and education.
  • Counsel patients on health promotion, illness prevention, and family planning services.
  • Administer medications, injections, and perform minor procedures like suturing.
  • Recommend community resources to address patient and family needs.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Triaging patient calls and offering consultations for continuity of care.
  • Manage medical and surgical emergencies with skill and composure.
  • Participate in committees, pilot projects, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to Legacy’s Performance Improvement Program and uphold confidentiality standards.
  • Support organizational goals through accurate coding knowledge (ICD9, CPT, HCPCS).
  • Perform other duties as assigned while maintaining excellent communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Medical Doctorate with current licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Provider shall obtain, maintain and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs, workers’ compensation, other federal and state reimbursement programs, and the payment plan of any commercial insurer, health maintenance organization, preferred provider organization, accountable health plan, and other health benefit program requested by Legacy.
  • Previous experience in a hospital and/or clinic setting
  • Minimum of three years’ experience preferred. Expertise in high-risk pregnancy and minimally invasive gynecological procedures is preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize
