We are on the lookout for a dynamic, bilingual Eligibility Specialist to enhance our mission at the Legacy Baker Ripley Clinic (6500 Rookin St #200) in Houston, TX. As a bilingual English/Spanish Eligibility Specialist, your role is crucial in providing access to vital healthcare services for those most in need. With a strong emphasis on innovation and improvement, you will assess patient eligibility for third-party reimbursements, ensuring that healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

Key Responsibilities
- Determine patient's eligibility for third-party reimbursement by meticulously following program-specific procedures and guidelines.
- Expertly process data to admit new patients into the CPCDMS and handle all necessary paperwork efficiently.
- Set initial service appointments post eligibility determination, ensuring seamless patient flow.
- Guarantee accurate insurance billing by utilizing proper coding practices.
- Manage inquiries from prospective applicants and patients with empathy and professionalism.
- Participate actively in all mandated safety education programs and annual training sessions to stay at the forefront of healthcare standards.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED, showcasing foundational educational achievement.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Medical Billing, bringing a depth of industry knowledge (preferred).
- Proficiency in English and Spanish to serve our diverse community effectively.
- Experience with ICD-A or CPT coding is a plus, highlighting nuanced understanding of insurance procedures.
