Key Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic plans to enhance Retail Pharmacy Services.
  • Identify and allocate workforce efforts for optimal service delivery.
  • Design and implement efficient workflows to guarantee timely patient care.
  • Initiate quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
  • Perform data collection and utilize reporting tools effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancements and recommend changes.
  • Oversee the efficient use of information systems and technology.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, control expenses, and optimize revenue.
  • Collaborate to develop initiatives for improved therapeutic outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with audits for controlled substances and 340b adherence.
  • Oversee financial operations and manage contractual agreements.
  • Implement educational programs for staff knowledge and competency validation.
  • Develop education to enhance patient engagement in healthcare.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for pharmacy operations.
  • Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Master's degree in Public Health or Healthcare/Business Management or Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Active Texas Board of Pharmacy License.
  • 5-10 years of Pharmacy experience with demonstrated success, or completion of ASHP PGY1/2 Clinical or Administrative Hospital Pharmacy Residency.
  • Proficient knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable State/Federal laws.
  • Experience in administration, management, or supervision.
  • Exceptional leadership, mediation, and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong commitment to customer service and healthcare excellence.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Basic understanding of statistics and graphical representation principles.
  • Computer literate in electronic mail, word processing, and office management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
