Key Responsibilities

  • Perform selected nursing and administrative duties to support the clinical care team and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Engage in proactive pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts, ensuring all tests results and correspondence are current.
  • Confidently confer with physicians/providers regarding incomplete patient tests and consultations prior to patient visits.
  • Guide patients from the waiting area to exam rooms, meticulously taking histories and vital signs.
  • Administer injections, draw blood, and assist with comprehensive OB/GYN exams, EKGs, and other necessary office procedures.
  • Competently manage and administer medications, maintaining accurate sample medication records and responding to patient medication requests.
  • Prepare and maintain clinical supplies and equipment to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Effectively triage and respond to patient communications, managing scheduling for tests and treatments.
  • Facilitate patient pre-certifications for care and procedures, and coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers with ease.
  • Collaborate with disease management and case management programs to deliver holistic patient care.
  • Contribute to developing and refining departmental policies and procedures aimed at improving healthcare delivery.
  • Embrace other responsibilities as assigned, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Active RN license in the State of Texas, with either an unrestricted Texas RN license or valid compact state licensure.
  • Bilingual proficiency to effectively communicate and care for our diverse patient community.
  • BLS (CPR & AED) Certification is mandatory, ensuring readiness in emergency scenarios.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience, showcasing a strong foundation in clinical care.
