Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and identify when referrals are needed.
- Perform detailed physical examinations and document comprehensive health histories.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure holistic and integrated patient care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, assisting with specimen collection as necessary.
- Develop accurate diagnoses and create effective treatment plans.
- Educate patients to promote health and wellness.
- Guide and mentor mid-level providers, fostering a supportive team environment.
- Ensure effective working relations and maintain a safe healthcare setting.
- Engage in safety training and conduct environmental audits, prioritizing patient and staff safety.
- Attend continuing education programs to keep abreast of medical advancements.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Medical Doctor with current licensure
- Current license from the Texas Board of Nursing and completion of program at an accredited school or graduation from an accredited program as Physician Assistant and current Texas state licensure or eligibility for licensure
- Participation in Medicare and Medicaid Programs and various health benefit programs as requested by Legacy.
- Ability to meet Legacy Community Health's EPIC proficiency requirements.
- Previous experience in a community healthcare setting preferred.
- Demonstrated competency with an EHRS system.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask, strong typing and computer skills, ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
- Must manage multiple deadlines and decision-making responsibilities.
