In your capacity as an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician, you'll play a pivotal role in reshaping healthcare delivery at our large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) nestled within a medically underserved community in Houston, TX. Key Responsibilities
- Champion transformative healthcare by delivering comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and management for adult patients.
- Engage in proactive chronic disease screening to ensure early detection and intervention.
- Contribute to the education of future healthcare professionals by participating in resident teaching and preceptorship programs.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to healthcare students for enhanced educational experiences.
- Ensure patient care continuity through on-call availability and participation in after-hours clinical or operational meetings as needed.
Qualifications
- Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Current Texas medical licensure.
- Valid DEA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated experience in community healthcare settings.
- Spanish language proficiency is preferred for effective patient communication.
