Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act for licensure and demonstrate leadership in clinical departments.
- Minimize incidents and complaints while guiding the department towards excellence.
- Communicate nursing concerns effectively to the Director of Nursing.
- Engage in hiring, coaching, and performance reviews collaboratively with the Site Director.
- Develop tools for routine chart reviews, providing constructive feedback and educational opportunities for improvement.
- Review patient complaints proactively and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Establish and monitor orientation schedules for new MAs; review progress with the Site Director and preceptors.
- Ensure incident reporting and compliance with organization and OSHA standards.
- Develop and conduct monthly trainings to support continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in provider meetings to foster communication and collaboration.
- Evaluate clinical inventory management and conduct regular audits.
- Modify training programs to enhance clinical practices.
- Create and update clinical policies, procedures, and protocols as needed.
- Manage Legacy exposure control plans and oversee infection control processes.
- Promote respect and dignity for all patients, families, and team members in every interaction.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold an unrestricted Texas RN license or valid compact state licensure.
- BLS (CPR & AED) certification is required.
- Possession of a State of Texas Registered Nursing License.
- Minimum of five years of experience as a licensed, registered nurse, preferably with supervisory experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Exhibit strong leadership and exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively.
- Bilingual capabilities, particularly in Spanish, are desirable.
