Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist - Job Overview
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Hybrid
Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people? At Legacy Community Health, we're looking for a dedicated Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our family. You'll be providing a full range of psychiatric services to our FQHC clients, aiming to improve their mental health and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and provide treatment for patients in assigned clinics.
- Maintain regularly scheduled hours and actively engage with patients.
- Meet or exceed productivity requirements as set by leadership.
- Develop and maintain clinical diagnostic and treatment protocols.
- Provide availability by phone during and outside regular clinic hours as needed.
- Assist in the review and development of patient educational materials.
- Supervise healthcare students for educational purposes.
- Develop and maintain a program for clinical quality assurance.
- Coordinate care with non-physician providers and Behavioral Health Coordinators.
- Consult with colleagues and specialists as appropriate.
- Participate in meetings, the Performance Improvement Program, and peer reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a Medical Doctor, Board-certified (or Board-eligible and working toward certification) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with current Texas License.
- Must uphold the Code of Ethics of their professional licensing entity.
- Must complete the minimum hours of continuing education to maintain professional license.
- Must maintain good standing with professional licensing board.
- Credentialed and privileged according to Legacy's standards and practices.
- Must demonstrate cultural competency and sensitivity to all populations served.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, community and the general public.
- Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize.
