Key Responsibilities

  • Accept challenging, urgent, and emergency calls, utilizing best practice guidelines to ensure apt care and resource utilization.
  • Implement telephone triage strategies effectively to direct patients to the appropriate level of care and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with clinical team members to prioritize patient needs and address care requirements immediately.
  • Gather and document essential patient information, informing providers as necessary.
  • Provide nursing advice and patient education using approved protocols and tools.
  • Assist in care coordination while safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring documentation accuracy.
  • Foster professional relationships with peers, advocating for a collaborative team approach.
  • Maintain efficient call times and a professional, helpful demeanor.
  • Deliver care without bias, respecting the cultural values and cost considerations in treatment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing program with active Texas RN licensure.
  • Certified in CPR, demonstrating readiness for emergency situations.
  • Three years of practical RN experience, preferably within family medicine.
  • Nursing triage experience is highly advantageous.
  • Proficient clinical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to juggle multiple deadlines effectively and establish priorities.
  • Spanish language fluency is strongly preferred, reflecting our commitment to serving a diverse community.
